“A new Titan is coming… and Monarch might not survive it.”

“If you thought Season 1 was big, Monarch Season 2 is about to change the MonsterVerse forever.”

Apple TV+ is officially bringing the monsters back.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 is set to premiere on February 27, 2026, and everything we’ve seen so far suggests this season is going to be bigger, darker, and more dangerous than ever before.

After a successful first season that earned an 87% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the series quickly became a standout entry in the MonsterVerse. Fans and critics praised its cinematic visual effects, intense performances, and the way it expanded the world of Godzilla beyond the big screen. The show also received multiple award nominations, including recognition from the Visual Effects Society, Saturn Awards, Critics’ Super Choice Awards, and more.

The hype reached a new level when Apple TV+ released the Season 2 trailer on February 3, 2026. The footage opens peacefully, with people enjoying time at sea — but that calm doesn’t last long. Chaos erupts as monstrous threats emerge from the depths, teasing the return of massive Titans and some terrifying new surprises.

Season 2 was first revealed back in November 2025, when Apple TV+ dropped an early teaser confirming the show’s return. Now we know the full release plan: ten episodes total, with the first episode launching on February 27, followed by weekly releases, leading up to a finale on May 1, 2026.

Set after the events of Godzilla from 2014, the series continues to follow the shadowy organization Monarch as it investigates and attempts to contain the world’s most powerful monsters. The Season 1 finale raised the stakes dramatically, revealing Skull Island and ending with the epic arrival of Kong, setting the stage for an explosive continuation.According to Apple TV+, Season 2 will dig deeper into Monarch’s darkest secrets, bringing heroes and villains together on Skull Island. Even more terrifying, the season will introduce a brand-new mythical Titan, a threat powerful enough to endanger the entire planet.

The cast lineup is also expanding. Alongside returning stars Wyatt Russell, Kurt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, and Mari Yamamoto, the new season will feature guest appearances from Amber Midthunder, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, and several others.

Chris Black returns as showrunner and writer for the season’s premiere episode, continuing his vision for the series. While Season 3 hasn’t been confirmed yet, Apple TV+ and Legendary Entertainment are already working on future MonsterVerse projects and spin-offs, signaling that this universe is far from finished.
